The Gems
Samantha
I think Sam was born creating things! Jewelry... greeting cards... fashion... you name it. She started selling her creations at craft shows when she was 11 and it was a well-paying summer job for several years. She’s almost 18 and doesn’t have as much time as she used to, but she still loves to design and create. Sam has an amazing eye for color and balance.
Sydney
I taught Sydney and her sisters how to crochet when she was 13. I have a great picture of the three girls all sitting up in bed, crocheting! Sydney is now 20 and a student at Regis College. She still loves to work with yarn when she has a few minutes and makes crocheted necklaces and bracelets. You'll have to see them to believe how beautiful they are.
Shelby
Shelby showed an interest in creating things as a child, too. When they lived in Alabama, I would send crafting “toys” to her for Christmas. According to my brother, she would sit and make things for hours...it was a great babysitter. Shelby is now 22 and her specialty is making pretty hair accessories and barefoot sandals.
and Jules
And I'm Jules...their Aunt. I'm not going to tell you how old I am...let's just say I've been doing this for a while...a long, long while! I started crafting at 10-years-old when my grandmother taught me how to crochet and I learned to sew in 4-H. I enjoy all kinds of crafts, but I especially love making jewelry. There's just something special about all those sparkly beads!
